About Us

Beyond The Box Advocacy was created after our Founder and Chief Advocate, Lilly, recognized her own ability to share her expansive knowledge and unique skillsets with others. She is a communications expert, disability advocate, and social worker-in-training with lived experience.

Believing that advocacy is not just about systems change, Lilly also believes it’s about storytelling, solidarity, and seeing people in their full humanity. Whether she’s supporting patient clients navigate support systems, consulting on inclusive communication practices, or shaping policy conversations, Lilly offers insightful expertise, bold compassion, and a “sky is the limit” mindset.

Professional Overview

Lilly is a current social work graduate student with a disability at the University of Southern California. She is a seasoned communications expert and aspiring Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience in digital marketing, storytelling, and disability advocacy.

Lilly brings a unique combination of professional insight and lived experience to everything she does. As a woman with a physical disability working in spaces that often exclude or overlook the disability community, she knows firsthand what it means to navigate systems that were not built with access or inclusion in mind. She uses that insight to help others understand the barriers, challenge the status quo, and push for sustainable change.

Her background in communications allows her to translate complex ideas into clear, relatable messages that stick. Whether she’s leading a training, advocating for a client, or consulting on policy, Lilly meets people where they are without lowering the bar. She believes that accountability and empathy can and should coexist.

Lilly’s goal is not to be the exception. Her goal is to be part of a movement making access and equity the expectation. She is building what she wishes she had growing up because nobody should have to fight this hard just to be seen, heard, or included.
